Autumn's Realm: InstallationWant to try out Autumn's Realm? It's easy! If you have a mobile phone with a wireless web or equivalent feature (e.g., Sprint calls it PCS Vision), just point it to http://cdsmith.twu.net/j2me/AutumnsRealm.jad. Your phone should prompt you to download and install the game, and it will be available in the Games folder.
Unfortunately, sometimes things go wrong. We will collect installation related questions and answers here. My phone doesn't have a wireless web feature! This makes it a little more difficult. Some phones have ways to install programs through a direct cable connection or something like that. However, the details are different from phone to phone. You should check with your carrier or read the documentation for your phone. I get an error saying something about 905.This can mean that your phone doesn't implement MIDP 2.0 or CLDC 1.1. You could try asking your carrier (it will take a while to find someone who knows) or look it up on jbenchmark.com to make sure your phone is compatible. I don't hear any sound!Unfortunately, this is normal. Although the application provides sound, many (perhaps most) phones will require a trusted digital signature before they allow the sound to play. Being a poor open source project, we can't afford to jump through hoops like this. |
